Miami Grand Prix, F1 at Miami Autodrome, Florida

My home race. Not since Singapore have I lived this close to the venue. And I must say nothing beats the experience of a home Grand Prix.

The race went perfectly well. I have nothing but praise for my Scrutineering team. My assignment was perfect as a garage scrutineer for the Alfa Romeo’s. Paul, the tire scrutineer and I worked well together and I learned a lot from him. Super grateful he was willing to share his knowledge and be a great teammate to make sure both our roles got fulfilled.

Not much action-wise and despite a little bit of promise during qualifying the team’s drivers dropped back in the race. But the whole thing was over in no time. No incidents, no accidents, no drama on track. So a quiet experience in pit lane. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

My buddy Denis was working a new role in pit lane nearby, and after the race we all went out to my home town for an excellent dinner on the pier. Everyone had a great time.

If I get to do Las Vegas it would be great otherwise next year’s Miami GP should be my next event as WEC won’t be coming back to Sebring.
